Sugar Scan
A multilingual food-label and meal-scanning tool that turns sugar and carbohydrate readings into plain-language, visual results.
Field notes
Sugar Scan accepts nutrition-label photos, barcodes, meal photos, webcam captures, and spoken meal descriptions. Its calculations use grams per 100 g or 100 ml, convert sugar into four-gram teaspoons, and can compare a serving with daily or per-meal carbohydrate budgets. The interface includes a correction step showing what the AI read, plus optional fructose estimates for gout and picture comparisons using foods such as sweet potatoes, dhal, beans, and fruit.
