The playground accepts both the mathr command language and ordinary expressions, including LaTeX such as fractions, roots, and trigonometric forms. Its documented command surface extends beyond classroom calculus: users can request partial fractions, complex polynomial roots, exact matrix operations, number-theory functions, and descriptive statistics. For agent integrations, the stateless MCP service exposes twelve named tools and returns plain text, LaTeX, and step-by-step working in structured JSON.
