Vemlaut — the trip-expense app that refuses to make you do the math

vemlaut.com Observed source
Editorial interest 84/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A Swedish-English expense splitter that reads receipts, handles multiple currencies, works offline, and minimizes the number of transfers needed to settle a group’s spending.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-13 issue.

Field notes

Expenses remain in their original currencies while the app calculates each person’s share using the rate for the date of purchase, including entries added later. The site says participants can exist as names without accounts, while invited users can follow a group through their own account. Offline changes are queued locally and marked as unsynchronized until the connection returns; simultaneous edits based on stale versions are rejected rather than silently overwritten.
