The planner accepts wall dimensions, trim face widths, gap count, and an optional obstacle, then renders batten positions and square-cut dimensions. Its worked example uses a 144-by-60-inch wall with six 3.5-inch battens, five 24.6-inch clear gaps, and 53-inch vertical cuts. The page also distinguishes total linear footage from stock-board count and tells users to account for saw kerf, defects, offcuts, casing, and cover plates before cutting.
