Cicloruta, the bike map that avoids the hills
A free, accountless cycling map that favors bike lanes, offers voice navigation, and warns riders about hazards.
Field notes
The routing model assigns different costs to road types, favoring separated cycleways while treating elevation as added distance. Riders can select safer, balanced, or direct routes, receive voice directions, and record distance, speed, time, and climbing locally for GPX export. The site lists coverage in five cities, including 2,228 km of cycle infrastructure in Munich and 753 km in Bogotá, and identifies OpenStreetMap, Copernicus DEM, and Overture Maps as data sources.
