An open-source Python workflow turns a Markdown script, plain HTML slides, and narration into a word-synchronized MP4.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-14 issue.

Field notes

DeckTalk uses Markdown headings to divide a script into sections, then connects spoken phrases to HTML slide elements through data-cue attributes. Its example resolves the word “One” at 4.485 seconds and reports a 35-cue caption build. Section narration is cached using the text, voice, model, and settings, while ffmpeg assembles the resulting clips and Chromium records the slides.
