Angler: Seek the Surface
An iOS screen-time app that turns scrolling into distance, ranks each week by depth, and can block distracting feeds.
Field notes
Angler establishes a personal baseline during its first week, then compares later weekly scrolling against that reference rather than imposing a fixed target. The result is expressed as thumb-travel distance and one of five zones, from Radiant to Trenches. The page gives example readings of 1,284 meters today and 0.80 miles lifetime, and says blocks remain bypassable even when automatic blocking is active. Its distance estimate is identified as Angler's own swipe-length model rather than an external study.
