The interface supports three-state cell marking: shade a cell as sea, dot it as a presumed island cell, or clear it. Its rules require numbered islands to match their stated sizes while the sea remains one connected region, with no all-sea 2×2 block. The page includes daily, weekly, and practice modes across easy, medium, and hard settings, plus three visible hints and a solved 5×5 example. An accompanying folklore note connects the shaded shape to the Japanese nurikabe, an invisible wall said to obstruct travelers.
