Portable Agent places the durable parts of a coding task outside the LLM: goal, plan, trajectory, checkpoint, control state, artifact, and guard. The page describes a handoff from a commercial model to a local one after an outage, with the task rebuilt from its saved state rather than restarted from a prompt. Its three-level matrix runs from Raspberry Pi 5 and 1.5B–3B models to roughly 30B enterprise hardware. Safety exits cover retry ceilings, repeated errors, unauthorized file edits, and resource limits.
