Sitnow maps each café’s tables and bar seats onto the camera view, then uses an on-site computer to classify them every 15 seconds. The page says video is held only in memory until classification ends and that external systems receive seat labels and statuses rather than images. Its rules account for occlusion, belongings, and temporary absences: blocked seats become “checking,” while a seat must be vacant three consecutive times before being offered to visitors.
