voXel — an iPad DICOM viewer
A local-first iPad viewer for DICOM studies, with oblique multiplanar reformats, CT windowing, measurements, and 3D surface export.
Field notes
The page demonstrates the viewer with a synthetic CT phantom and exposes the geometry used for its reformats: 64 × 64 × 60 voxels, 2.40 mm in-plane spacing, and 1.50 mm slice thickness. Its 3D pipeline uses marching tetrahedra, threshold presets in Hounsfield units, and CPU-based Swift extraction, with STL or OBJ delivered through the share sheet. A full-resolution skull example takes roughly 19.5 seconds and produces an STL of about 476 MB.
