The “Kukushka” Steam Locomotive Museum
A Russian museum of narrow-gauge railway history, with more than 100 exhibits, a working two-kilometre heritage line, and handcar rides.
Field notes
The museum occupies a former narrow-gauge railway station in Talitsy and extends beyond static display: its collection includes locomotives, railcars, wagons, and working workshop equipment, while a surviving branch runs toward the Bludov Marsh. Visitors can take a roughly 15-minute handcar ride over one kilometre, subject to age and health restrictions. The site also documents depot restoration work and lists lectures, group visits, events, and a railway-themed shop.
