Field notes

Alpymist uses hardware probing at installation and first boot to choose between four desktop paths: accelerated Hyprland, GPU-assisted labwc, CPU-rendered labwc, or X11 with i3. Its documented thresholds include GLES 3.2 and 3 GiB of memory for the fullest tier, versus GLES 2.0 and 1.5 GiB for the lighter one. The project says its ISO is built and tested in QEMU, while also warning that the system is still pre-alpha.
