Ekaterina Anisimova’s Icons for a More Human World
A bilingual portfolio of contemporary Orthodox iconography, painting, and writing about sacred art.
Field notes
The portfolio groups individual icons with contextual writing about Orthodox tradition and its present-day relevance. Named works include Holy Zosima and Savvaty, the Exaltation of the True Cross, Saint Nicholas, Saint Alexander Nevsky, Saint Peter, Mother of God, Saints Boris and Gleb, and Resurrection. A separate journal extends the project beyond a gallery, covering reflections, process, and conversations at the meeting point of iconography and modern life. English and Russian navigation are both visible.
