BASEPOINT, a Web Base for Waiting
A Japanese web studio collects anonymous, deliberately slow online experiences built around letters, bottle messages, and a five-minute conversation with the past.
Field notes
BASEPOINT groups three browser experiences under a slow-communication theme. Its Letters application limits participation to one correspondent at a time, requires at least 100 characters per letter, and frames the exchange as ten rounds; Song & Letter Bottle accepts YouTube music and photographs, while the café simulation limits conversations to five minutes and ten exchanges. The homepage also links to a production journal and lists updates dated September 14–15, 2026.
