The coach-built running toolkit
Two free tools for high school cross-country and track: one maps courses and prints meet packets; the other turns race splits into analysis.
Field notes
CourseChalk traces a cross-country route over aerial imagery, measures it to the meter, colors the line by mile, and assembles course maps into flyers and meet packets. PaceChalk accepts typed splits, imported results files, or race data from existing sites, then analyzes pacing, season progression, personal bests, and passing points. The creator identifies the source imagery as USGS National Map and USDA NAIP data, and says the tools are designed for unreliable connectivity.
