BRQuantum’s Two-Channel Quantum Network Hardware
A Brazilian research spin-off developing photonic hardware to distribute entanglement through open air and existing telecom fiber.
Field notes
The project joins two experimental approaches to entanglement distribution: polarization-encoded photons sent across roughly seven kilometers of open air, and energy–time entanglement carried over telecom fiber already operated by network providers. The free-space work uses a 405 nm pump, SPDC, telescope control, and a beacon-referenced locking loop; the site reports polarization-state fidelity above 99% across the bay. BRQuantum identifies itself as pre-product and seeking partners and funding.
