Casa Komaros documents a dry, terraced garden above the Ligurian coast, along with custom steel supports made for its plants.
Field notes
The project treats the garden as an ongoing field record rather than a finished display. Its September notes track what remains upright after a dry summer, while the construction account specifies recycled aggregate compacted beneath existing stone and a planting scheme built around species such as stipa, santolina, tulbaghia, allium, wild fennel, and lavender. The accompanying supports are dimensioned prototypes, including an open ring that can be installed around a plant after the season has begun.
