The atlas links map and table selections so readers can inspect individual sub-city units alongside the aggregate result. Its evidence base includes 68,415 BBMP work orders, 395 official flood points, and 660 kilometres of mapped drainage line-work. The author also tests how much the headline changes when drainage is defined through different keyword rules: the same ₹23,081 crore can represent between 1.3% and 45.9% drainage, making classification a central part of the investigation rather than a hidden technical detail.
