Coral Chest, a family tree for reef corals
A public registry where reef hobbyists log coral specimens, track photo histories, and follow frags as they move between keepers.
Field notes
Coral Chest uses RF identifiers to connect coral specimens with keepers, categories, lineage chains, and transfer events. Its homepage shows both collection records and an activity feed, including specimens such as HomeKicker, Fox flame acropora, and RCA Firefly. The visible leaderboard ranks four keepers by traced frags, while recent entries distinguish newly logged specimens from frags passed to another keeper. Some displayed lineage remains incomplete: HomeKicker is marked “Origin unrecorded.”
