An enoki mushroom’s recorded electrical activity is replayed to generate words, stock orders, and a public portfolio on Robinhood Chain.
Field notes
The site uses a fixed playback of 1,078,434 electrical samples gathered over 12.5 days, rather than a live biological feed. Seven electrode pairs receive individually selected thresholds, convert clustered spikes into words, and assign those words to stock tokens through a round-robin menu of 26 assets. The page says the resulting sequence contains 193 orders and allocates one percent of each token trade in SPY.
