GitTurtle organizes local Git work around three documented actions: browsing history, reviewing changes, and preparing a commit. Its workflow keeps history context nearby, supports unified or split diffs and visual image comparison, and maintains a separate commit draft for each worktree. The project originated in the creator’s own 60 GB collection of repositories and worktrees. It is MIT-licensed, but the current macOS and Linux versions remain source builds rather than downloadable binaries.
