INSTINCT Lab’s Digital Fruit Fly
An interactive browser experiment compares a learning fruit fly with a no-memory control as both search a seeded maze for food.
Field notes
The study uses a seeded maze with one food source and compares a Q-learning subject against a control that does not retain experience. Visitors can choose 150, 300, or 500 trials, inspect four action values per cell, and export records that the page says can be rerun from the seed. The biological reference names 139,255 mapped neurons and 54.5 million mapped synapses, while the current extract shows no completed trials or example measurements.
