Plevalma organizes a Spanish-language reference around the physical sequence of gilding: choosing loose or transfer leaf, preparing a wood or sculptural support with animal glue and layered plaster, applying over bole or mordant, and deciding between burnished and matte finishes. The page identifies gold leaf as roughly a tenth of a micron thick and notes that booklets commonly hold about twenty or one hundred leaves measuring eight to ten centimeters square. It also treats humidity, cleaning, tool storage, and the reintegration of losses in older gilded work.
