Tallyhook puts a price on AI coding work

Editorial interest 84/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A billing tool for dev agencies that reads Claude Code and Codex session logs, assigns usage to clients by repository, and exports marked-up invoice lines.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-15 issue.

Field notes

Tallyhook maps coding sessions to clients through their Git remotes, so an agency can classify a repository once and have earlier and future sessions follow that assignment. Its example CSV separates session counts, list price, and marked-up billable totals, including a report of 59 sessions costing $600.42 before markup. The privacy section says transcripts and later prompts remain on the laptop, while selected metadata—including token counts, timestamps, branches, and tool-call counts—is uploaded.
