Voxler, a voxel world that computes itself as you fly

voxler.dev Observed source
Editorial interest 89/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

An interactive browser-based voxel engine that generates immense worlds on the graphics card as you move through them.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-15 issue.

Field notes

The engine generates terrain from two WGSL functions while the visitor moves through it, retaining only the surrounding area rather than loading a complete level. Voxler combines block rendering nearby with ray tracing through a coarser copy at distance; the page says this supports worlds extending 33 million voxels from the centre to the edge. A runnable, editable example and Apache 2.0 source are linked from the public page.
