CampWatt’s Portable-Power Calculator
An Australian camping calculator that turns appliance loads, trip length, solar input, and reserve assumptions into a battery target.
Field notes
CampWatt separates battery capacity from running output and startup surge, then accounts for appliance duty cycle, reserve, efficiency losses, and solar recovery. Its example uses a family-camp load of 740 Wh per day, a 1,100 Wh working target, and 300 W minimum output. A second form accepts the exact specifications of a battery or bundle and flags whether its capacity, output, surge handling, and solar input meet the calculated requirements.
