The Workshop Where Nigeria’s Electricity Law Meets Reality
A two-day Abuja workshop focused on turning Nigeria’s Electricity Act 2023 into functioning state electricity markets.
Field notes
The workshop treats electricity-market devolution as an implementation sequence rather than a purely legal event: establish a state regulator, create licensing and tariff rules, then assemble projects that financiers can evaluate. Its working map covers 37 jurisdictions, including the FCT, and names embedded generation, mini-grids, renewables, industrial clusters and captive power as possible routes to market. The public page also exposes a full programme PDF, sponsorship prospectus and invitation-based attendance process.
