The prototype separates original records, later reviews, claims, contradictions, and changes in knowledge instead of flattening them into a single account. Its visible controls include evidence-state filters—such as directly documented, contested or interpretive, later revised, and open question—plus oldest-first or newest-first ordering. The page also sketches a citizen-historian workflow involving quote tracing, transcription, source discovery, local evidence, and contradiction finding. It explicitly describes the current system as a researched prototype, not a production historical database.
