Immortal Fruit Fly
A browser-based experiment that places a simulated fruit-fly brain inside a tokenized, on-chain life cycle.
Field notes
The experiment models food as a spatial and metabolic constraint: a feed transaction places food near the fly, which must detect and reach it before its life counter runs out. The page specifies a 40–110-body-length placement range, an odor plume of about 60 body lengths, and walking at 3–4 body lengths per second. It also describes ten-minute checkpoints containing membrane potentials, synaptic currents, refractory clocks, and world state, with hashes committed to BNB Smart Chain.
