Kilnleaf, a pottery journal for the whole firing journey
A free iPhone and iPad app for photographing pottery, tracking its stages, recording glazes, and sketching future pieces.
Field notes
Kilnleaf organizes pottery records around a piece’s changing state: a maker can begin with a photo, add stage-specific notes, and retain the history through firing. Its sample sequence runs from Thrown and Leather hard to Bisque fired, Glazed, and Glaze fired. The planned studio reference layer includes glaze recipes, firing ranges, coat and dipping details, plus links between test tiles and finished pieces. An iPad whiteboard is presented as a companion for sketches and collected references.
