RecordMark puts a public fingerprint on documents

recordmark.app Observed source
Editorial interest 82/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

RecordMark deposits documents into a dated public record with a permanent URL, QR code, and SHA-256 fingerprint that anyone can check without an account.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-16 issue.

Field notes

Each deposit exposes a SHA-256 digest of the exact file bytes, allowing someone who holds a copy to check whether it matches without asking RecordMark for permission. The service keeps earlier versions visible when a document is replaced and gives every record an RSS feed for change tracking. Timed release can be paired with serialised Embargo Certificates, while AI-writing and similarity reports are optional rather than automatically attached.
