The lab accepts functions in either y=f(x) or x=f(y) form, then uses boundary lines or a numerical curve-intersection search window to define the enclosed region. Its visualization links a 2D plot to an orbitable 3D solid and lets users compare perpendicular washers with parallel cylindrical shells. A finite-sum mode exposes the relationship between piece count and thickness; the visible example starts with 24 pieces and Δx = 0.041667. Formula labels and the final volume answer can be hidden until the learner is ready.
