SmartCopy, the file mover that refuses to forget
A Windows file-copy and migration utility that queues jobs, resumes interrupted transfers, verifies copies, and deletes originals only after verification.
Field notes
The tool treats a move as a three-stage operation: write a temporary file, verify it, then remove the source. Its recovery model keeps a per-file journal and retains partial-transfer metadata, so a reboot or disconnected NAS does not automatically reset the job. The page lists six collision policies and gives concrete operating defaults, including two concurrent jobs, 4 MB fixed-disk chunks, and progress updates batched every 0.2 seconds. It also documents watch-folder and scheduled-task modes for unattended copying.
