vrain: training plans without the black box
A self-hosted cycling and training tool that adjusts the day’s session from workload and recovery data.
Field notes
The tool separates numerical coaching decisions from language-model prose. Its visible model uses activity, recovery, and FTP-history records to calculate CTL, ATL, and TSB, then stores the full decision context and engine version so a past recommendation can be reproduced. A sample week contains six sessions, 9.4 hours, and 391 TSS; the sample threshold workout is 4×10 minutes at 95–102% FTP. The homepage also names .fit, .zwo, and intervals.icu as output destinations.
