The index uses a part tree spanning propulsion, satellite platforms, payloads, commodity hardware, manufacturing processes, testing, and integration, then attaches supplier and specification records to those categories. Its homepage reports 1,506 specifications and 139 publicly documented certification claims across 329 parts and 172 suppliers. The project explicitly separates documentation from validation: certifications are not assumed, sources are shown, and the buyer remains responsible for qualifying a supplier.
