Ardent Word, a Bible app designed for the week the cable breaks

ardentword.com Observed source
Editorial interest 88/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

An offline Bible app with three built-in translations, an AI study companion constrained to cited verses, reading tools, prayer features, and no ads or paid tier.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-17 issue.

Field notes

The app packages the New King James Version, Berean Standard Bible, and King James Version on the device, allowing reading, search, notes, highlights, plans, journaling, and a help card to operate offline. Its Emmaus companion returns a chapter-and-verse reference, which the app resolves locally; an unresolvable reference produces no verse. Prayer may remain private or be sent to a selected group, and the site says personal journals and conversations are excluded from analytics and model training.
