Claimp, the DJ player that turns waveforms into a map
A free, open-source Mac music player that shows full-track spectral waveforms, analyzes BPM and key locally, and lets DJs drag real audio files into their DAW.
Field notes
Claimp builds its workflow around a full-track spectral waveform: loudness controls height while frequency controls colour, allowing users to locate intros, drops, and breakdowns visually. Selected tracks can be analyzed on-device for tempo and Camelot key, with results written to tags identified as TBPM/TKEY and BPM/INITIALKEY. The homepage also describes direct dragging of original files into Ableton, Bitwig, or Finder, alongside folder playback, search, sorting, and played-state marks.
