Counter Price builds its dataset from restaurant-owned menus, including photographed in-store menus and venue pickup pages, then records the date each price was last seen. Its receipt workflow accepts DoorDash or Uber Eats screenshots and PDFs, extracts the listed items, and compares them against counter prices; the site says the uploaded image is immediately discarded. Delivery figures may be estimates until a matching receipt is available, while the database currently spans eight Australian states and 486 suburbs.
