Retouch works as a browser extension for local HTML files: users activate it, select page text, edit it, and save the file in place. The site describes a deliberately narrow preservation model in which comments, spacing, and scripts remain untouched, while text generated dynamically at load is refused. Setup currently involves downloading a release, loading it unpacked through chrome://extensions, enabling file-URL access, and restarting the browser; a Chrome Web Store listing is identified as forthcoming.
