Entries are indexed with seasonal and tidal descriptors such as “neap tide,” “falling range,” and “spring tide,” rather than only publication dates. The site also preserves a practical notebook routine: record the date, water level, and wind first, and identify plants only after looking twice. Its safety note is unusually direct, warning that mudflat crossings can be dangerous and should not be attempted alone.
