Field notes
The atlas combines a hand-curated base with an explicitly described data workflow: a complete dataset can be imported from Wikidata and Wikipedia, with source attribution for imported text and photographs. Its map supports dragging, scrolling, rotation, category filtering, and 2D/3D switching. The project also preserves a useful boundary between representation and reality: its illustrations and 3D models are stylized rather than architectural reproductions, while distance and driving-time figures are estimates.
