Gamma models annotations as reusable blocks rather than leaving them trapped in a document layer: a highlight can be nested, linked, embedded elsewhere, searched, or opened at its original passage. The homepage also describes a local SQLite-and-files storage model, Docker deployment, and exports to Markdown, Obsidian, Logseq, Zotero, or annotated PDF.
