Laser File Check, for the moment before you waste material
A browser-based checker for SVG and DXF files used in laser cutting and CNC workflows.
- For
- Laser cutters and CNC users preparing SVG or DXF files
- Worth noticing
- Checks duplicate lines, open paths, unit ambiguity, DXF entities, and features below a chosen minimum size.
Field notes
The checker accepts files up to 30 MB and exposes setup fields for bed dimensions, material dimensions, unit interpretation, and a minimum feature threshold that defaults to 0.5 mm. Its inspection list extends beyond simple path closure: it covers duplicate geometry, live text, raster images, hidden objects, masks, clipping, tiny or zero-length features, and DXF data such as hatches and non-zero Z values. The page says exact duplicate shapes may be removed, while other issues are reported rather than automatically altered.
