Masjid Timetable Keeps the Congregation’s Clock
A UK-wide prayer-times service showing each masjid’s published begin and jamā'at times, with an iPhone app planned around reminders and home-screen access.
- For
- UK mosque-goers and masjid administrators
- Worth noticing
- Calculated prayer times are labelled separately from times published by each masjid.
Field notes
The service distinguishes a congregation’s own published jamā'at decisions from astronomical begin times calculated from a masjid’s location. Its sample record for Quwwat-ul-Islam Society in London shows both kinds of times in one timetable, while the stated app workflow would keep reminders on the phone rather than sending notification data to the service. The initial directory was sourced from OpenStreetMap, but the site says each masjid can replace that placeholder record with its own timetable.
