SQL Query Masker

Editorial interest 84/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A local-first tool that replaces SQL table and column names with reversible tokens before you share a query.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-19 issue.
For
SQL practitioners sharing queries outside their own systems
Worth noticing
The reversible mapping is embedded as a private SQL comment and stays on the local machine.

Field notes

The masking process changes identifiers into sequential tokens while preserving SQL keywords, literal values, and the dbo schema in the example. A private mapping marker travels inside the copied SQL so the original names can be restored later. The homepage says tokenization happens in memory and that no query, schema, or mapping reaches a server. The free desktop offering is available in principle, while SSMS and VS Code integrations remain in preparation.
