A $9.99 Mac utility that turns an existing Obsidian Base into a menu-bar board and writes dragged-card changes back to notes.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-21 issue.
For
Obsidian users who want quick menu-bar boards
Worth noticing
It preserves the existing Base view and writes only the grouping property back into a note.

Field notes

BaseBar uses the .base file as its configuration rather than asking users to recreate a board in a second system. The page says it can expose multiple views as separate menu-bar tabs, preserve custom property labels, and work with both current Bases and older Kanban-plugin boards. Its write-back behavior is deliberately narrow: dragging a card changes the grouping line in that note while leaving the .base file untouched.
