Cafuné’s physical sequence depends on concealment: the recipient sees only the banded book in the upper compartment, while the sender later places a handwritten letter below it. The custom band has separate front, spine, and back surfaces, and the page gives a 2–6 hour reading estimate as part of its rationale. The operator says the service supplies stationery but does not perform the writing, printing, or safekeeping of the letter.
