ProxyCanary Makes Proxy Lists Sing or Die
A free checker that sends real HTTP requests through HTTP, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies to measure whether they work, how fast they are, and where they exit.
- For
- Developers validating proxy lists before use
- Worth noticing
- It distinguishes anonymity from headers actually received by the judge, rather than trusting a proxy seller’s label.
Field notes
The checker accepts formats including ip:port, authenticated proxies, and scheme-prefixed addresses, then reports what its judge endpoint observes rather than relying on a socket ping. Results expose both connect and full round-trip timings, alongside exit IP, forwarded headers, protocol, ASN, and a mobile/datacenter/residential classification. Filters can narrow survivors by status, latency, or country before exporting lists for downstream tools.
