Opora’s ADHD focus timer comes with thirty weirdos
An iPhone focus app for ADHD combines a customizable timer, animal-sorted tasks, and CBT- and DBT-based exercises for moments when starting or staying on task gets hard.
- For
- iPhone users with ADHD who stall on starting tasks
- Worth noticing
- Skipped seeds do not carry over or count as missed, and missing a day leaves the grove unchanged.
Field notes
The timer calibrates to an individual focus interval (the page gives 12 and 40 minutes as examples) and pauses for a tap at each boundary unless auto-start is enabled. A “seed” pairs one task with a first step under two minutes; the next-morning notification opens the timer with that task loaded, while skipped seeds do not carry over or get tallied. The app also limits the urgent animal queue to three buffalo and offers named grounding and distress-tolerance exercises.
